Challenge

The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) wanted to ensure its business support service, The Marches Growth Hub (MGH), had a high profile ahead of the LEP’s closure at the end of March 2024. The challenge was to increase awareness of MGH services, drive website traffic and engage businesses seeking support, particularly those previously unaware of MGH, within a limited budget of £5,000.

Solution

Be Bold Media devised a two-month multi-dimensional campaign called Grow More in 2024, targeting SME owners and entrepreneurs in Shropshire, Herefordshire, and Telford & Wrekin. This drew on more than a decade of institutional knowledge held by Be Bold from its work with the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership.

The campaign included news releases, case studies, an eight-week social media campaign, targeted paid social ads, testimonials, digital content on MGH and LEP websites, newsletters and stakeholder engagement.

The content strategy focused on highlighting MGH’s central role, funding access and new energy grants, tailored to different audience segments with website links. Creative methods included branded social media content, varied formats, and partner collaboration in direct marketing

Results

The campaign achieved a 64% increase in website sessions (9,376 sessions), 45% more page views (19,951), 13,495 new visitors, 185,256 social media impressions (a 2,861% increase), 103 direct inquiries (up 78%), 22 earned media pieces reaching 258,000 readers and 90 brand mentions.

These results significantly surpassed the client’s initial goal of a 20% increase in website activity.

Due to the campaign’s success, the new MGH management retained Be Bold Media as its website and social media partner.
